Larisa Harrington is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Certified Life Coach, and 20-year Air Force veteran. While working as a personal trainer in 2002, she took her first yoga class and fell in love. She began her yoga teaching journey focusing on the physical aspects, but shifted to a holistic approach of using yoga to enhance mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. In 2017, she earned her therapy credentialing from the International Association of Yoga Therapy.
Additionally, Larisa has certifications and trainings in Yoga of Recovery, Yoga for the Special Child, Warriors at Ease, Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Coaching, Advanced Training in Mind-Body Medicine, Holistic Stress Management, Positive Psychology, Chair Yoga, Adaptive Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Happiness and Laughter Coaching, as well as various fitness, life coaching and mental health trainings and certifications.
Larisa has taught children, seniors, veterans, athletes, and men and women with varying abilities and goals. She enjoys offering an inclusive and uplifting environment so that students feel supported and accepted as they are. Her goal is for her students to recognize and appreciate their own strengths and leave feeling better than when they came.
Larisa currently lives in New Market, MD with her husband, Quinn, children, Donovan, and Ella, and dog, Layla. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, eating, and traveling.
