What are the consequences of your actions…or ina What are the consequences of your actions…or inaction?

Our pup, Layla, is pretty amazing at being quiet and calm while I’m virtually teaching or leading sessions, however I know she’s at her best when she’s gotten exercise and play time.

Yesterday I had a jam packed schedule. I know that for Layla to feel her best, we needed to get in an early walk, which meant having my Monday morning team meeting via phone while I was out walking her.

Layla needed a walk and I needed to have my morning meeting so we figured out how to make it work.

As I was walking, I was reflecting on how many of us figure out how to make things happen when it comes to our loved ones or clients, but when it’s for our own health and well-being, we have excuses about why something isn’t possible.

Is it easier for you to think about the needs of others than about yourself?

Is it easier to go out of your way and rearrange things when it’s for someone else?

Is it easier for you to follow through when it’s to support the health and well-being of someone else?

What are the consequences of you investing in your health and well-being every day?

What are the consequences of you prioritizing others and neglecting your own needs?

In case you need a reminder, you matter too.

Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.

Sometimes, saying no and changing your mind is self-care.

You are worthy of feeling good and loving your life!

“You’ll regret the things you didn’t do more “You’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than the things you did.”

While looking for an Airbnb to stay in while going to a friend’s wedding, Ella found a room for rent in a house with 2 lovable golden retrievers.

Unfortunately it was over an hour from the wedding so I told her I didn’t want to have to drive that far after an evening wedding.

She couldn’t get it out of her mind so after some persuading, she convinced me to spend one night at the “dog house” since it was on the way to the wedding and then another Airbnb that’s closer after the wedding.

One morning while getting lots of puppy snuggles, she looked up at me and said,

“You know how they say that when you look back, you’ll only regret the things you didn’t do? We would’ve regretted not doing this. Thank you.”

How did she get to be so wise. 😭

🐚You’ll regret the things you don’t make ti 🐚You’ll regret the things you don’t make time for.☀️ The things you put off until later due to work, people pleasing, and over achieving.

Often when working with a client we realize that they aren’t doing too much, but not doing enough of the right things.

Are you making time in your life for the things that bring you bliss? What about the things that bring you peace?

Get intentional about designing your life around the beautiful, happy, wonderful moments! You deserve it!

If you struggle with this, I can help! Ask me how!

After 16 years and 20 days, it’s finally happene After 16 years and 20 days, it’s finally happened.

My son actually came and asked for me to spot him while he tried to PR his squat.

AND then he asked for my input on his form.

AND then he asked me to stay in our home gym with him while he worked out.

Despite me being in the health and wellness space for over 2 decades and despite me being a certified personal trainer and functional strength coach, he never wanted to listen to what I say about health and fitness.

Today, all that changed. He came to me!

I’m so grateful he recognized he would benefit from having support and I’m grateful he allowed me to be the one to support him. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Yesterday, a client was frustrated because they saw someone struggling but the person wouldn’t accept support or do the work to fix their problem.

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

As hard as it is to witness someone suffering or doing things that we know will cause them harm, we can’t force them to change.

We can offer support, but they have to be ready.

Because just like squatting your personal best, the deep work that many people must do in order to get the results they desire requires a lot of discomfort.

And people have to be ready.

Today, I’m grateful my son was ready to ask for the support he needed in order to accomplish his goal!
