It looked beautiful falling from the sky for a few hours and thankfully it stopped before we got any accumulation! 🙌🏽

I was about to quit. In 2021, I found Glenn Lund I was about to quit. 

In 2021, I found Glenn Lundy on CH and started following his Morning 5. 

1. No snooze
2. No phone
3. Gratitude
4. Goals
5. Send out an encouraging message 

I was already doing the first 4 things every morning but decided to add the 5th thing by posting an encouraging message on my FB page every morning. 

I’ve been pretty consistent since I committed to posting every morning and I’m always grateful when someone shares the benefit they get from a specific message I post. 

But on my birthday, 31 Dec, I got COVID. 

I still followed the first 4 of the Morning 5, but stayed off of social media and didn’t send out any encouraging messages. 

I had a few clients and meetings the week I got sick, but I primarily rested and spent a lot of time re-examining my goals and how I was investing my time, money and energy. 

I contemplated no longer posting my morning encouragement and meditated on how I could best utilize my time and energy while still sending an encouraging message as part of my morning routine. 

I didn’t know if what I was sharing was really making the impact I intended so I asked for guidance around whether I should keep posting my morning encouragement or if I should focus on something else. 

After my week of resting while I was recovering from COVID, I started checking the hundreds of birthday messages I had received. 

I got my answer. 

So many people who never comment on my posts, sent me sweet birthday messages and shared how meaningful my morning messages are for them. 

People shared stories of actions they had taken just based on my morning encouragement. 

People shared how my short morning message had positively impacted their life. 

And I had almost quit because I didn’t know. 

I share all of this to say

This isn’t about me. 

This is about all of the people out there ready to give up on things that truly matter. 

You never know who is about to quit because they never knew how valued they were. 

Tell people how you feel. 

Tell people what they mean to you. 

Tell people that what they do matters.
